Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chinese/English Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our meat product manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will oversee SQF and CFIA quality management processes, ensure products meet rigorous quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role is essential in maintaining high-quality production, reducing defects, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective quality control and inspection practices. Speaking both Chinese and English is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality management systems aligned with SQF requirements and CFIA meat industry standards
- Conduct regular quality checks, inspections and audits throughout the manufacturing process to identify deviations or defects.
- Support the Operations team in conducting daily routine checks, and ensure production team is following the HACCP plan and SOPs in all processes within the facility.
- Utilize measurement tools such as thermometers, scales to perform precise quality inspections.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to product quality, process performance, and inspection results.
- Support SQF practitioner in facilitating 3rd party audits, regulatory and/or customer audits
- Maintain and update the supplier approval, traceability, and other related food safety programs
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Document inspection findings and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Support training initiatives related to quality control procedures and best practices.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment, meat or multiple foods preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF, CFIA/FDA food regulations, QA/QC processes, quality inspection, and analysis skills.
- Fluent in Chinese and English is mandatory for this role.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively for decision-making purposes.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and managing many tasks at the same time (multi-tasking)
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments and documenting findings clearly.
- Prior experience with supervising and coaching a team is considered an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $48,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
