Hardline Engineering is currently looking for multiple Drafters to join our team. Reporting to either the Distribution or Underground Residential Design / Street Lighting teams, the Drafter will work on a variety of drafting assignments supporting clients in the utility, construction, energy, industrial and renewable sectors. The Drafter must have the ability to interpret field returns and process data. This position will also occasionally require you to liaise with clients to establish job requirements and manage change requests.
Responsibilities:
- Execute detailed designs, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, site layouts, control schematics, control panels, single line diagrams, urban residential designs, etc.
- Work closely with the respective engineering department to create civil and electrical drawing packages.
- Assist in performance of electrical calculations such as: circuit loading, breaker sizing, power distribution, voltage drops, streetlight design, etc.
- Interact with other disciplines, such as civil and structural teams to compile an integrated design.
- Performs quality control for other CAD staff and on your own deliverables.
- Liaise with clients to establish job requirements.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma or Degree from a recognized post secondary school.
- 2+ years experience with electrical or civil drafting
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Experience with municipal or utility geospatial systems would be an asset.
- Experienced Technical and Drafting knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with tight timelines.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong client focus and results driven.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with internal and external customers, stakeholders, and co-workers.
- Excellent organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to resolve conflicting priorities.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
