Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using Accuro
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing as needed
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting necessary documentation
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits efficiently
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Accuro
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology terminology
- Experience working as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front desk role
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems effectively
- Office experience demonstrating proficiency in administrative tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients, staff, and providers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
