Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic, accomplished and results driven Territory Sales Manager for Toronto Plus . Reporting to the National Sales Director the ideal candidate brings a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role working for either a food manufacturer, food service broker or food distributor. Strong background in providing top tier customer service, you are highly organized and can easily multi task and are detailed oriented and an open communicator. This person will be managing an existing profitable book of business with the key goal of acquiring new business. Dealing directly with the end user, the Territory Manager will drive the business through one of our appropriate distributors.
You will play a pivotal role in cultivating profitable and long-term partnerships with customers and distributors.
This role is based primarily on the road with your home office as a base. Our Head Office is located in Hamilton. You must reside within this territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Development & Account Management
- Seek out and build and strengthen relationships with distributors and end users
- Conduct pricing negotiations, contract agreements, and promotional programs
- Monitor competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt strategies proactively
- Drive engagement and partnership opportunities within restaurant channels, health care, schools, recreational facilities etc.
- Participate and lead in seasonal food shows and conduct sales meetings
Financial & Reporting
- Report and analyze sales performance
- Provide accurate forecasts and contribute to long-term business planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years in a similar role within food service
- Proven track record of hitting sales targets and providing exemplary customer support
- Negotiation and contract management experience
- Strong detailed, efficient, accurate and transparent communication
- Excellent presentation engagement skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Self motivated and organized
