Responsibilities
- Serve balanced, appealing meals and snacks tailored to children's dietary requirements.
- Follow strict food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment at all times.
- Collaborate with staff to coordinate meal schedules and ensure timely delivery during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, place orders as needed, and manage stock rotation efficiently.
- Support the implementation of health standards related to food service in a childcare setting.
- Help cover in classrooms during lunch hours
Requirements
- Proven experience in serving or preparing food within a restaurant or food industry environment.
- Childcare experience
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Previous experience working in childcare, education, or similar settings is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification or training in food safety is highly desirable.
