We are currently looking for a strong baker able to work in a large, fully equipped industrial kitchen located at Red Pine Summer Camp.
Must be a team player. Will be working alongside other kitchen staff in same kitchen who are working to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for about 300 campers and counsellors 7 days a week. Expected to solely focus on their own craft but provide assistance to other kitchen staff if baking tasks have been fulfilled.
Hours are generally 8 hours per day. Must be willing to work weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Crafting and preparing new baked goods
- Ensuring every product meets the expectations of the customer and reflects well on the standards of the establishment
- Ensuring the workstation is restocked and cleaned as needed
- Keeping records of the bakery inventory, production levels, and deliveries
- Inspecting each baked product to ensure it meets quality requirements
- Displaying and decorating the finished products to make them client-ready
- Making product improvement recommendations, responding to the needs of the customers, and accepting orders
- Staff are expected to live on-site in the provided accommodations with the exception that they live within a commutable distance
