Sales Representative – Motorized Shades (Full Time)

SmartBlinds.ca is the newly launched motorized-shade division of Integration Arts — a trusted smart home and AV installation company. We’re growing fast and looking for a motivated Sales Representative to help build our new middle-market shading brand.
This role combines outbound sales, builder outreach, and hands-on learning with the opportunity to assist in actual shade installations. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, working with their hands, and growing into a long-term sales career in the smart home industry.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $37,000 per year (includes a $12,000 annual commission draw*)
- Uncapped commission earnings beyond the draw
- Vehicle allowance provided
- Paid training included
- Additional income available through installation support
*A commission draw means you receive a guaranteed $1,000/month advance toward commissions while you build your sales pipeline.
Schedule
- Full time: Monday–Friday, typically 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Occasional evenings or weekends for homeowner appointments
- Mostly outbound field work (homes, builders, job sites)
What You’ll Do
- Meet with homeowners to recommend the right motorized shade options
- Prepare quotes, product selections, and basic layout recommendations
- Follow up on warm inbound leads from SmartBlinds.ca and Integration Arts
- Conduct outside sales to generate new business with builders, renovators, designers, and contractors
- Build and maintain relationships within the local builder network
- Complete on-site measurements and project walk-throughs
- Assist with shade installations to deepen product knowledge (training provided)
- Coordinate with installation and admin teams to ensure smooth job flow
- Learn our fabric options, motor systems, and smart-home integrations
Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Valid driver’s licence and a reliable personal vehicle
- Comfortable with ladders, light lifting (up to 40 lbs), and small tools
- Able to work in residential homes and new-build construction environments
- Friendly, confident communicator with strong customer service skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable with outbound work
Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required)
- Sales experience (retail, home improvement, services, or tech)
- Experience with contractors, builders, or trade environments
- Interest in smart home technology or AV systems
- Comfort with basic tools and measurements
