Sous Chef – Scratch Kitchen | Drifter Brew Co.
Drifter Brew Co. is hiring a Sous Chef to join our growing, high-performing kitchen team. This is a hands-on leadership role in a scratch kitchen focused on BBQ, Italian-inspired pizza, and elevated pub food.

Sous Chef Responsibilities
- Support daily kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef
- Lead kitchen shifts, including opening and closing duties
- Execute menu items to recipe, quality, and presentation standards
- Oversee food preparation, plating, portion control, and station organization
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with training, mentoring, and supporting kitchen staff
- Lead by example with professionalism and clear communication
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, consistency, and kitchen culture
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a professional kitchen (senior line cook or lead experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of scratch cooking and kitchen operations
- Leadership mindset with the ability to manage a fast-paced service
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
