Job Description
You’ll be a key part of an innovative, “first to market” technology culture, contributing to CIBC’s digital transformation. As a Sr.Full Stack Developer within CIBC’s Personal and Small Banking Technology department, you’ll lead a development project team in the technical design, development and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. You’ll build easy, flexible, and personalized banking solutions that enhance client experience and change the way that people bank.
How You’ll Succeed
Design & Develop: Act as a SME on the analysis and documentation of requirements, estimations for assigned work packages and coordination for end-to-end implementation of program specific solutions. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives while also maintaining existing applications
Programming Ability: Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities: develop specifications, code, test, debug, document, and adjust in order to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of programs. Design application's technical infrastructure: specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
Lead & Influence: Lead code-review sessions and ensure overall code quality aligns with business and project requirements. Monitor production and user acceptance testing support to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies. Provide support for the organization’s transformation from Waterfall to Agile.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience in: You have 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Framework including familiarity with JPA, Spring WS, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Security. You have technical experience with writing enterprise programs using Java. You have experience working with Microservices and Dev Ops technologies. You have 8+ years experience with web technology in Javascript ES6, HTML, CSS. 8+ years experience with Java and Java frameworks (Spring, JPA), Weblogic, Unix. You have working knowledge of data modeling, database design and programming (T-SQL, Oracle, Stored Procedures), TFS and GIT source control. It would be considered an asset if you have experience with JEE, AngularJS, C# .NET, Redis, OpenShift, Kubernetes, DevOps.
