HGC is seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Repair Foreman\woman to join our dynamic team in Caledon, Ontario. This role is vital in ensuring our fleet remains reliable and safe, contributing directly to our mission of providing top-tier transportation services.
Responsibilities
- Working with the technicians to ensure fleet inspections and repairs are performed as outlined by the company and maintenance manuals established for each type of vehicle. Maintain the fleet to comply with State and Federal regulations in both time and mileage intervals.
- Lead, assign work schedules and shop hours. Supervise the truck trailer repair team to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
- Diagnose and repair complex trailer and truck issues using advanced mechanical skills and assist in tracking warranty and recall repairs.
- Oversee daily repair activities, ensuring safety standards and quality workmanship and monitor equipments downtime.
- Coordinate with parts suppliers and manage inventory for timely repairs and assist in the evaluation of fleet replacements.
- Audits and full control of parts, tools, and inventories.
- Management of financial expenses under maintenance, along with operating within budgetary guidelines.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Must be able to respond after hours and to emergencies when required.
- Ensures maintenance staff members maintain a clean, organized, safe shop.

Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience with heavy vehicle repairs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of trailers, trucks, and related equipment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
Valid certifications relevant to heavy vehicle repair are preferred.
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
