Job Overview:
Responsible for long term category strategies supported by global sourcing activities and negotiating contracts, while leading a team of procurement/sourcing managers. Your focus will be on achieving continuous improvement and cost savings through a prescriptive and compliant procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead/coach/mentor a Procurement/Sourcing Specialist/Manager supporting the execution of the company’s long-term plan (LTP) and Short-term plan (STP)
- Accountable for category specific strategic sourcing activities, risk identification/mitigation, FCF targets, procurement compliance and developing the ongoing pipeline of continuous improvement opportunities
- Supporting the overall Procurement Customer Service needs of the internal stakeholders
- Responsible for reducing costs of purchased goods and services without jeopardizing quality or business continuity
- Improve system efficiency and data integrity by leveraging automation, adopting new technologies
- Support the business growth agenda by:
- Sourcing new innovative products for the business
- Participating in Trade Shows/Industry events to bolster G&G visibility and support reputation for willingness to partner on innovation
- Own category expertise and negotiates agreements on behalf of overall company targeting segmented spend over $250K USD
- Resolve chronic and severe performance issues
- Accountable for budgets, LE, DPO related FCF targets and reporting (Purchase Price Variance (PPV), markets, relevant risks, CI targets, KPI’s) to the business on a monthly basis
- Actively live and role model our Leadership competencies by holding self and team (including all direct report ‘people leaders’) accountable for creating a positive work environment and culture through administration of our People Processes and Tools.
- Performance Management: Ensure proper onboarding and development of all staff by completing induction process, coaching and developing capabilities, executing PDP start/mid-year dialogues, and engaging in corrective action when required
- Talent & Succession: Ensure job vacancies are filled by completing the required processes and representing the company with integrity throughout the recruitment process
- Training: Ensure completion of function compliance training
- Engagement: Ensure an engaged workforce through development of sound working relationships and execution of Employee Survey action plans

Recipe for Success:
- Completion of college diploma in Supply Chain Fundamentals or Business
- Minimum 10 years of Procurement or Sourcing experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ERP or similar business systems experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing and equipment for food processing and high-speed packaging, as well as Bakery Manufacturing including ingredients
- Must possess the financial acumen to manage, measure, and improve operational effectiveness and profitability
- Strong communication skills (verbal, presentation and written skills; strong listening skills).
- Strong judgement, analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions.
- Good ability to motivate and empower team members by providing feedback and recognition
- Strong computer systems (MS Office, ERP systems)
- Working Knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement experience is an asset
