Schedule
Monday to Friday, rotating shifts including 5:30am-1:30pm, 6:00am-2:00pm, 7:30am-3:30 pm.
Occasional overtime may be required.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Working under the supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor and/or Pharmacist, the Cleanroom Technician is responsible for compounding parenteral solutions according to the detailed specifications of the WI's.
The Cleanroom Technician must have a sound knowledge of pharmaceutical technology as well as having the skills and knowledge required for aseptic manipulations. The incumbent must demonstrate high integrity and good judgment; never swaying from the goal of service and product quality while compounding products without direct supervision. The Cleanroom Technician must have flexibility and demonstrate reliability and initiative. Also assist with production support activities such as production staging, quality assurance monitoring, product labeling, packaging and cleaning procedures. The work performed is generally of a routine nature. Unusual problems are referred to the incumbent’s supervisor.

Maintain inventories of sufficient supplies in staging and cleanroom departments to meet production demands.

Compound intravenous solutions and TPN orders as per Work Instructions.

Prepare the various cleaning and stock solutions following compounding and measuring processes as outlined in Work Instructions.

Pick, inspect and verify all production components against production documents.

Maintain strict adherence to line clearance principles through all stages of production

Perform validation, calibration, and microbiological monitoring and checking as required by standards and Work Instructions.

Ensure completion of all required Quality Assurance entries on production documentation.

Complete in process and final inspections of product as required by Work Instructions.

Label and package compounded product to ensure proper identification and integrity for shipping and final use.

Assist in the cleaning of equipment, totes, and work surfaces and maintain facility compliance with Calea standards.
QUALIFICATIONS

Regulated Technician licensed with Alberta College of Pharmacy

Minimum two or more years of experience in a community hospital and/or pharmacy.

Sound knowledge of pharmacy technology and aseptic technique.

Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.

Excellent communication skills and computer knowledge.

Ability to handle multiple demands made simultaneously under short time constraints.

Flexible and adaptable to meet the requirements of our evolving business.

Flexible and able to work various shifts and areas as scheduled.
