Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, including cake decorating techniques
- Ensure all food preparation complies with food safety and handling regulations
- Assist in food presentation, packaging, and portioning for service or take-out orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed
- Uphold high standards of quality control for taste, appearance, and freshness
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related food industry role; restaurant experience is preferred
- Strong skills in cake decorating, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with guests or team members
- Kitchen experience with familiarity in food packaging and presentation methods
- Passion for baking and creating visually appealing desserts
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
