Our Company is actively seeking a Jr. Recruiter/Account Manager to join our team. Based in Toronto, ON, this is a remote, work-from-home position.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, above-average math abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. This role involves managing the full recruitment cycle for designated openings—from crafting job descriptions and sourcing candidates to screening them. You will be a key liaison with job seekers, building relationships, understanding their qualifications, and matching them with suitable positions that align with their interests and client needs. Preference for applicants with at least one year of recruitment or sales experience.
You will also be expected to collaborate with clients to grasp their staffing requirements and convey these needs to our recruitment team.
Our company is headquartered in Toronto, ON, and this is a remote position. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm EST. If you reside outside this time zone, we require you to adjust accordingly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the account team to define job openings and deliver top candidates to clients
- Screen and conduct initial interviews using behavioral and competency-based methods to present a shortlist for further client interviews
- Develop and maintain a network of technical candidates
- Oversee the recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles—from creating and posting job descriptions to candidate onboarding
- Gather job requirements and expectations from client hiring managers
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and social media regarding our services
- Cultivate strong relationships with client hiring managers, business leaders, and other business lines
- Regularly follow up with hiring managers and candidates to ensure timely recruitment
- Evaluate candidates against all relevant job requirements
- Work with candidates and clients to obtain signed documentation for all placements
- Proactively seek new business opportunities related to staffing needs via phone, email, and other electronic methods
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 1-2 years of recruitment or sales experience. NOTE: "Customer Service" roles are not considered Sales!
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-based project skills
- Organizational abilities and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office/Excel/Google Meet
- Results-driven, able to handle multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Must be willing and able to write job descriptions. We will not consider candidates who dislike writing or have a "cut and paste" mindset
- Preference given to those demonstrating above-average math skills
