Co-operators is looking for a Co-op Student in the P&C Underwriting department located in Guelph, Ontario. This is approximately a 4-month contract position.
How you will create impact:
Respond to inquiries and provide appropriate correspondence to inquiries from internal/external business partners.

Underwrite, rate and review policies within assigned authority.

Review, investigate and action various system generated reports.

Escalate policies to underwriters as required.

Contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of services within defined service standards.
- You have strong time management and organizational skills.
- You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions, and proactively propose solutions.
- You are well organized and detailed.
- You have strong communication skills to convey messages and explore diverse points of view.
- You build and maintain trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of shared programs and practices.
- You’re an effective team player who shares knowledge to support your peers.
- You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible however you do not need to be in a registered Co-op program to be considered for this role.
