We are currently hiring 1st Year Apprentices through Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our growing team. Job Summary
The successful candidate will assist with and perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide variety of heavy equipment, including construction equipment, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and cranes. We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn, develop their skills, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Assist with disassembly and reassembly of equipment components.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential equipment concerns.
- Operate equipment as required to test repairs and ensure proper performance.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Work closely with senior technicians and apprentices to complete projects efficiently.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
QualificationsApprentices:
- Registered 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice, or willingness to enter an apprenticeship program.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to perform physical work and heavy lifting.
Journeyman Technicians:
- Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman Certificate or Red Seal Certification preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and repair experience on heavy equipment.
- Experience with farm, construction, industrial, or crane equipment considered an asset.
All Candidates:
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
- English language proficiency required.

Location Requirement
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Grande Prairie County No. 1, AB, or be willing to relocate prior to starting employment.
