Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, crowns, and orthodontic treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patients feel relaxed and informed.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Abeldent, including charting and treatment notes.
Support front desk operations by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and handling insurance documentation.
Assist with orthodontic procedures and support the use of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology for dental restorations when applicable.
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting or related roles is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
Knowledge of dental software platforms such as abeldent is highly desirable.
Familiarity with orthodontics procedures and CAD technology is a plus.
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics is important for effective communication.
Excellent interpersonal skills to create a positive experience for patients of all ages, including children.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting or related credentials are advantageous but not mandatory; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
