Labourer – Snow Removal & Lawn Maintenance

Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking labourer to join our property maintenance team. The successful candidate will assist with snow removal during the winter months and lawn care/landscaping during the warmer seasons. This role involves physical outdoor work in all weather conditions and requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Winter (Snow Removal):
- Shovel, snow-blow, driveways, sidewalks,
- Apply salt or de-icing materials as needed
- Operate snow removal equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues
- Work early mornings, late evenings, or on-call as required during snow events
Spring/Summer/Fall (Lawn & Landscape Maintenance):
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns
- Perform garden bed maintenance (weeding, mulching, planting)
- Prune shrubs, hedges, and small trees
- Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters
- Assist with landscaping projects, sod installation, and yard cleanups
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in snow removal or landscaping preferred (training provided)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (asset)
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Strong attention to safety and teamwork
Compensation:
- Hourly wage: $20-25/hr
- Potential for year-round employment
