Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling under the supervision of kitchen staff
- Support food service operations by restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness of workstations
- Help with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by disposing of waste properly and cleaning surfaces regularly
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours
Skills
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and meal assembly is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food industry standards
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks effectively
