Medigroup Portage Pharmacy is a new and progressive community pharmacy located in the heart of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Job Responsibilities:
- Check prescriptions for proper dosage
- Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the quantities of drugs and other ingredients required and filling appropriate containers with correct quantity
- Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals and advise them on indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage
- Maintain medication profiles of customers
- Follow proper policies and procedures for dispensing narcotic and controlled medications
- Ensure proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of all medication inventory
- Offer information to assist patients in understanding how to properly take their prescribed medications
- Assist patients in solving problems, such as identifying old medication or finding an over-the-counter solution to minor health issues
- Administer Suboxone in cases when necessary
Requirements:
- License in good standing to practice pharmacy in Manitoba
- Strong understanding of Kroll is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service abilities
- Reliable transportation
- Availability to work Saturdays when requested
- Able to administer medications by Injection
- Additional Prescribing Authorization (optional)
