We have an immediate opening in our Calgary, AB offices for an Account Manager who will leverage their skills, knowledge and experience to identify solutions for our clients to increase their customer engagement and experience. The incumbent will be a seasoned Account Manager with strong business development acumen and passion for influencing customer experience. They will take a consultative approach to deliver innovative solutions and help lead growth for both the client and the organization. The Account Manager understands business, and is great at building and maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders and cross functional teams to manage projects and provide customer support; working as a liaison between our customers and production teams.
What you will do
Build relationships and manage interactions with key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure all assigned customer needs are being met
Work with client & production teams to help strategize, ensure programs are on brand and meet client business objectives
Account Growth – identify and assist in development of opportunities within existing program and new opportunities
Communication of customer requirements to production teams as needed to ensure flawless execution on all program deliverables
Oversee the execution of major programs deliverables for customer
Act as a final approval for client submitted communications, pricing, strategies, etc. to ensure quality control and that client business objectives are supported
Ongoing competitive intelligence sharing with management and team
Budgeting responsibilities to ensure all program financial objectives are achieved
Ensure all projects are billed on time according to month-end deadlines for both internal and externa; client groups
Develop solid understanding of customer business and requirements
Keep up to date with key client initiatives and share knowledge with team (as required)
Provide recommendations on internal process and alignment to customer expectations
Prepare all appropriate briefing documents (Creative briefs and Contact reports)
Issue status reports and monthly activity reports for management as needed
Resolve any client issues favorably for both parties
Liaise with internal and external functional groups
Schedule and facilitate status meetings with key personnel
Maintain open lines of communication with team regarding status, problems, and situations affecting the overall account
Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
What you have to offer
Degree (or work experience equivalent) in advertising, marketing, business or related field;
5-10 years experience as a an Account Manager;
Expert knowledge with MS Office 365
Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign Suite
Have detailed knowledge of the industry and direct industry experience including retail, and current trends
Ability to effectively engage and influence various audiences
Sound decision making skills based in corporate, client, and industry knowledge
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills;
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to perform under pressure and demonstrated leadership skills, working well within a team environment;
