Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual for the position of Carpenter. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and restoration tasks, demonstrating proficiency in both hands-on skills and technical knowledge. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute construction plans accurately.
- Install cabinets, doors, base, flooring, and tile with precision, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Conduct construction painting tasks, maintaining attention to detail for aesthetic appeal.
- Apply caulking and siding techniques to enhance structural integrity and appearance.
- Engage in carpentry and woodworking projects, showcasing craftsmanship in all tasks.
- Assist in construction estimating to ensure project budgets are adhered to.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition for optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, restoration, or related fields is essential.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
- Strong understanding of construction methods including roofing, assembly, and flooring installation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Previous maintenance person experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key.
