Overview
O'Neill Auto Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager for our Whitecap Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership to lead our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a background in automotive repair, preferably within a dealership setting. As a Service Manager, you will oversee service operations, manage a team of technicians, and drive sales through effective upselling strategies while maintaining excellent customer service.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the service department to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
- Manage and train service staff, providing guidance on automotive repairs and customer interaction
- Greet customers, build rapport and respond to service inquires
- Maintain thorough and accurate customer records and communication history
- Develop and implement upselling strategies to maximize service sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records related to service operations
- Provide a digital cost estimate for labor and parts
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner
- Ensure proper follow-up of all service inquires
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall dealership performance
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for service needs
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and dealership policies
Requirements
- Proven experience in similar position within the automotive industry is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair
- Familiarity with dealership operations and customer service best practices
- Demonstrated ability in upselling services and managing sales effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Experience in cash handling procedures is preferred
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment
- Experience with PBS would be considered an asset
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract and code of conduct
