Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and maintaining accurate records using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, and caseware.
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes by verifying invoices, processing payments through platforms like QuickBooks and ADP, and reconciling accounts.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy across the general ledger.
- Help prepare journal entries, assist with month-end closing activities, and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards.
- Contribute to financial reporting by compiling data for audits, preparing reports on financial concepts, and supporting internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
- Support payroll management tasks using systems such as Kronos, Ceridian, UltiPro, or PeopleSoft while ensuring proper tax calculations and deductions.
- Participate in internal audits or external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to governmental or nonprofit accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of accounting principles including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, caseware, Sage, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll systems like quickbooks is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry skills (10 key typing).
- Knowledge of financial concepts related to accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliation, budgeting, and tax processes.
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of integrity.
- Bilingual between Korean and English is must.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
