Role:* Torch Bearer
Hours: At the King's pleasure, whenever he doth venture underground
Thy sacred duty:
Thou shalt walk ahead of rulers and priests through the darkest of tunnels, carrying aloft a lit torch so that they may see.
**Upon sight of approaching travellers, thou shalt proclaim:**
*"Welcome Travellers."*
This is thy oath. This is thy purpose. This is written in the scrolls.

- A heart unburdened by fear of darkness
- An unwavering commitment to the flame let it not die
- Thine own flint

**In return, we shall bestow upon thee:**

- Quarters befitting thy station, near the palace walls
- Occasional eye contact with His Royal Majesty
