Job Summary:
The Warehouse Picker/Shipper is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role involves picking items from inventory, verifying quantities and item codes, packing products securely, and ensuring timely and accurate shipment. The Picker/Shipper plays a critical role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick items from inventory according to customer orders.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product conditions before packing.
- Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment.
- Label packages accurately and process shipping documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, if needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to [insert weight limit].
- Basic computer skills for handling shipping software or scanners.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a warehouse or shipping environment is preferred.
- Experience running a forklift & must have a current forklift operators certificate
Work Environment:
This position requires standing for extended periods, lifting heavy packages, and working in a warehouse environment that may involve varying temperatures. Safety gear may be required depending on the facility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
