About Sparkling Kids
Sparkling Kids is a licensed childcare centre in Calgary offering a play-based, emergent, and nature-inspired curriculum influenced by Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and Forest School philosophies. We believe children learn best through exploration, curiosity, meaningful relationships, and hands-on experiences.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to join our Preschool Room and Toddler Room full-time.
Position Details
- Full-Time Permanent Position
- Monday to Friday
- Shifts scheduled between 6:30 AM and 7:00 PM

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, child-led learning experiences based on children's interests and emerging ideas
- Create opportunities for sensory exploration, inquiry, creativity, and discovery
- Design meaningful experiences that spark children's curiosity and encourage a love of learning
- Incorporate nature, outdoor exploration, loose parts, and open-ended materials into daily programming
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development
- Observe, document, and reflect on children's learning and development
- Complete daily app updates, observations, and classroom documentation
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment
- Ensure compliance with Alberta childcare licensing regulations and centre policies
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 2 or Level 3 Certification
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Strong understanding of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations and best practices
- Experience planning play-based and emergent curriculum
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred
