Our client is urgently seeking 2 experienced Welder/Fitters, with a strong emphasis on fitting, to join their structural steel fabrication operation.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience working with custom structural steel components, reading shop drawings, fitting assemblies, and performing MIG welding.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of structural steel welding and fitting experience preferred.
- Experience in a heavy steel fabrication, machining, or assembly environment.
- Strong fitting skills and ability to accurately assemble steel components.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and weld diagrams.
- Experience with MIG welding.
- Ability to use hand tools, torches, and other fabrication tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to handle a physically demanding workload.
- Safety-conscious approach to work.
- Overhead crane and rigging experience is an asset.
- CWB certification is an asset; certification support may be available.
- TSSA tickets are an asset.
Responsibilities
- Weld and fit structural steel components using MIG welding.
- Fit components accurately according to shop drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and welding diagrams.
- Use hand tools, torches, and other equipment as required.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace safety and production procedures.
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
