Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and maintained in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
- Serve finished products promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy periods
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pizza cook or in a similar food preparation role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Skilled in cooking techniques specific to pizza preparation and general meal preparation
- Excellent understanding of serving, food service, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience with restaurant or food industry operations is preferred
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and evenings if required
