The Opportunity
Mosaic is seeking an Application Support Analyst to work out of our Nanaimo office on Vancouver Island, British Columbia (consideration will also be given to candidates interested in working out of our Vancouver office).
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Technology and Innovation, the Application Support Analyst will provide technical expertise and support for the core business applications/systems based on strong business acumen. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Application Support Team, which is responsible for the reliable and efficient delivery of the organization’s suite of applications including inventory management, financial transactions, operational planning, and other administrative support systems. Primarily focused on the financial applications, the specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures application performance aligned with critical business workflows through proactive monitoring;
- Resolves user issues with emphasis on business impact and process improvement;
- Acts as business-focused liaison with vendors, translating needs into technical solutions;
- Configures applications based on business workflow requirements and objectives, ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives;
- Provides strategic guidance on application upgrades and enhancements based on thorough understanding of business unit operations and future needs;
- Manages releases and testing with focus on business impact and stakeholder needs;
- Contributes technical expertise to projects while maintaining focus on business outcomes, including process optimization, functionality design, and implementation strategies;
- Collaborates with business to design and implement improved processes, leveraging application capabilities to enhance operational efficiency; and
- Contributes to the long-term application strategy by combining technical knowledge with deep understanding of business goals, industry trends, and organizational needs.
What We’re Seeking:
- Degree or diploma in computer science or related program or equivalent experience;
- 5+ Years’ experience supporting transaction-based applications in functional areas such as finance, inventory control and planning;
- Experience providing application user support, including creating technical documentation and developing standard operating procedures aligned with business processes;
- Experience supporting Dynamics 365, Microsoft SQL Server (ie., query, administration, report services and analysis services), and Lifecyle Services. Including configuration management and integration with related business systems;
- Strong understanding of system and data governance through policy and change control processes;
- Experience supporting financial systems, services and processes is required;
- Demonstrated experience in business process analysis, mapping, and optimization, including stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering; and
- Knowledge of the forestry industry preferred, but not required.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $88,000 to $110,000. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill, relevant experience, and education.
