PC Services: this division of Loblaws Inc. operates in the same office location and includes The Mobile Shop and Gift Card businesses which are focused upon delivering convenience and exceptional value to LCL customers. Loblaws Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of LCL.

PCF is an important business unit within LCL that manages and develops the products and service programs in order to improve the customer experience, maximize value, and provide a platform to enhance customer insights and relationships. The Payment Decision Support team’s mandate is to p rovide data services such that PCF can capitalize on diverse sources of data to improve our understanding of customer behaviours to optimize profitability. The objective of this role is to provide accurate, easy-to-use and timely data based solutions. Specifically, the Senior Manager will be responsible for:
What you will do:
Champion initiatives to advance data capabilities across the organization, assist with developing and implementing enterprise data strategy
Provide technical and general leadership to ensure the team is meeting SLAs while maintaining vigorous quality standards and controls
Develop and maintain relationships with internal clients to ensure information solutions are meeting expectations and to manage data request process
While keeping abreast of big data technology trends, identify opportunities to improve and enhance PCF’s Business Intelligence infrastructure (tools, data sources, platforms)
Support department wide regulatory, governance and compliance practices by participating in Data Governance Office and Business Compliance programs.
Champion projects for various, cross-functional data initiatives and internally within the Data Management department
Ensure policy, processes controls and reporting for Anti-Money Laundering and other banking/financial services regulations are adhered to and are executed in compliance with PC Bank policies and all applicable governing legislation. Specifically, either through the direct management of the tasks or via supervision of others who have the primary responsibility to perform the actual tasks
What you will need:
Progressive experience in the data and analytics domain, with management experience
Strong technical background, past experience with medium to large scale data projects preferably in a financial service/banking setting
Demonstration of expertise in one or more of the following domains: business intelligence/reporting, data warehouse/data mart, data governance initiatives, big data/cloud data platforms, data strategy and transformation
Ability to successfully communicate complex problems verbally, written or via decks/presentations
Project management know how, leadership and business acumen
Highly organized and excellent time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to work with multiple stakeholders and garner consensus
Technical know-how with: SAS, SQL and relational databases, ETL technologies, MicroStrategy, SSRS, Tableau, Hadoop ecosystem, Google Cloud Platform, MS Azure
Experience with solution design and data architecture
Understanding of data science and advance analytics concepts
University degree in Business/Commerce, Computer Science/Engineering/Analytics
