Summary:
Ships and receives goods and keeps pertinent records, compares quantity and identification numbers of goods against orders to ensure accuracy.
Essential Duties:
1. Enter shipping and receiving data into CIMPRO program
2. Operate a forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
3. Load and unload trailers as directed.
4. Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security.
5. Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
6. Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
7. Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels or production schedules.
8. Manually moves materials around as needed.
9. Inspect and record safe working condition of forklifts and ensure battery charging as needed.
10. Utilize scanning system effectively and handle inventory storage and handling as per set procedures
Non-Essential Duties:
Performs other activities, special tasks and projects upon requests from the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications:
1. High school education or equivalent.
2. Licensed forklift operator.
3. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to loud environment, airborne particles with strong odors associated with spicy food ingredients in cold and hot conditions.
- Walking and standing on concrete for 8 to 12 hours a day. Climbing steps, ladders and working on elevated surfaces.
Pay: $23.75 per hour
