The Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce and Bracebridge Visitor Centre are seeking a motivated, creative and enthusiastic Marketing & Community Engagement Intern for a 52-week, year-round position.
This is an opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience while helping promote local businesses, tourism, community initiatives and the Bracebridge area.
Working alongside our communications manager, you'll be involved in everything from social media and content creation to email marketing, website management, tourism promotion, community outreach and event delivery.
What You'll DoMarketing & Digital Communications
- Assist with multi-channel marketing campaigns across social media, email, print and web.
- Develop and schedule engaging social media content, including Instagram Reels and other multimedia.
- Create promotional photography, video and written content.
- Support the development and distribution of newsletters, e-blasts and member communications.
- Maintain website content, event listings, blog posts and other digital resources.
- Apply SEO and digital marketing best practices to online content.
Tourism & Community Engagement
- Work directly with visitors at the Bracebridge Visitor Centre, providing information and helping showcase local attractions, businesses and experiences.
- Connect with local businesses, community organizations and tourism partners.
- Collect visitor feedback, stories and demographic information to help inform future marketing.
- Identify opportunities to promote Bracebridge and the surrounding region as a year-round destination.
- Represent the Chamber and Visitor Centre at community events and networking opportunities.
Events & Project Coordination
- Assist with planning, promotion and delivery of Chamber and community events.
- Support event logistics, communications and on-site execution.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor social media performance, website traffic and email marketing results.
- Assist with reporting and identify trends and opportunities.
- Learn to use tools such as Google Analytics and other digital marketing platforms to measure campaign performance.
