PSL Mechanical is an Ottawa-based commercial mechanical contractor delivering HVAC, sheet metal, piping, and ventilation work on institutional and commercial construction projects. We run our jobs to a high standard from layout through turnover, and we're growing our field team.
The Role
We're hiring a licensed journeyperson sheet metal installer to install commercial ductwork and HVAC sheet metal on active job sites across the Ottawa region. You'll work from drawings and field measurements to lay out, hang, and seal duct systems, working alongside our project managers, foremen, and field crews to keep jobs moving and on spec.
What You'll Do
- Install commercial ductwork, fittings, and HVAC sheet metal per drawings and specifications
- Lay out, measure, cut, assemble, hang, and seal duct systems on site
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and shop drawings
- Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Coordinate with foremen, PMs, and other trades to meet schedule and quality standards
- Follow all site safety requirements and PSL quality standards
What You Bring
- Licensed sheet metal journeyperson (Red Seal / Ontario 309A) - required
- Proven experience installing commercial ductwork and HVAC sheet metal
- Ability to read and work from mechanical and shop drawings
- Strong knowledge of duct fabrication standards, hanging methods, and sealing
- Comfortable working at heights and on commercial construction sites
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to job sites
- Working-at-heights and other safety tickets an asset

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
