Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Health and Fitness Manager to lead our wellness team and ensure an exceptional experience for our members. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for health and fitness, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest services. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and fostering a welcoming environment that promotes health, wellness, and community engagement. The Health and Fitness Manager will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, safety, and cleanliness while supporting the growth of our fitness programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the fitness team to deliver excellent guest services and maintain high standards of professionalism.
- Oversee daily operations of the health and fitness facility, ensuring smooth functioning of all services.
- Develop and implement programs that promote member engagement, health, and wellness goals.
- Manage guest interactions with a focus on hospitality, ensuring each visitor receives personalized attention.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including membership sales, class bookings, and retail purchases.
- Coordinate scheduling of classes, personal training sessions, and special events to maximize participation.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance throughout the facility.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster loyalty.
- Assist with onboarding new members by providing tours, explaining services, and offering support to enhance their experience.
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting programs and events through various channels.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality or customer service roles within a health or fitness environment is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage staff effectively and foster teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests professionally and courteously.
- Experience with guest services, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
- Basic cash handling skills with attention to accuracy in transactions.
- Passion for health, wellness, and fitness with a desire to motivate others toward healthier lifestyles.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in managing or supervising fitness facilities is a plus but not required.
