Our client is looking for a Project Manager I to support key initiatives within the agriculture sector in Calgary, Alberta on a Long-term Contract basis. This role is ideal for a project professional who can coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and drive projects from planning through completion.
Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and priorities with sponsors and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Communicate project updates, risks, decisions, and milestones to stakeholders.
- Monitor budgets, resources, and project performance against approved plans.
- Identify risks, scope changes, and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with business, technical, and external teams to support project success.
- Prepare status reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
- Lead project closeout activities, including lessons learned and final reporting.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of project management experience in a structured business environment.
- Postsecondary degree and project management certification.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Experience supporting financial, technical, or business process initiatives.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, project controls, and business systems.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and enterprise technology environments.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
