Groms Physio + Co is looking for an experienced, warm, and motivated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary clinic in Squamish, British Columbia.
For several years, families at Groms Physio + Co have asked us to bring occupational therapy services into the clinic. We are excited to develop this service in response to strong family and community demand.
This is an opportunity to help shape paediatric occupational therapy services within an established clinic that already has strong relationships with local families, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations.

Groms Physio + Co is a paediatric multidisciplinary clinic serving children, families, and young athletes throughout Squamish and the Sea-to-Sky corridor. We have a team of Paediatric Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists, Counsellors and would love to add an Occupational Therapist to the team.

The Opportunity
Our greatest current need is for an occupational therapist with experience or a strong clinical interest in supporting school-aged children with:
- Sensory processing
- Emotional and behavioural regulation
- Interoception and body awareness
- Functional participation
- Transitions and daily routines
- Gross and Fine Motor Skills
- Parent and caregiver coaching
- Special Interest Areas could include Feeding Support (Infants + Kids), Paediatric Pelvic Floor
The successful OT may also support children with:
- Fine-motor and visual-motor development
- Self-care and activities of daily living
- School and community participation
- Developmental coordination challenges
- Functional needs associated with neurodivergence
- Collaboration with teachers, support workers, and other healthcare providers
You do not need to provide every area of paediatric occupational therapy.
We want to develop the role around the successful clinician’s strengths, interests, experience, and areas of confidence.
Work Setting
Sessions will primarily take place at our clinic in Squamish.
Depending on clinical need and clinician interest, there may also be opportunities for:
- School or daycare visits
- Community-based sessions
- Virtual parent coaching
- Collaboration with schools and other community providers
Hours and Schedule
Both full-time and part-time hours are available.
We are flexible in creating a schedule that works for the successful clinician and the clinic.
The role may suit:
- An OT seeking a full-time paediatric caseload
- An OT wanting to begin part-time and gradually increase their hours
- A clinician combining this role with another position or professional commitment
There is flexibility to build your schedule and caseload over time based on clinician availability, community demand, referrals, and mutual fit.
Responsibilities
The successful occupational therapist will:
- Assess children’s functional strengths and challenges
- Develop meaningful, participation-focused goals
- Provide individualized occupational therapy treatment
- Support sensory processing, regulation, and daily participation
- Coach parents and caregivers in practical strategies
- Communicate clearly with families and other professionals
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with the Groms multidisciplinary team
- Work within professional scope, ethical standards, and evidence-informed practice
- Help shape and grow occupational therapy services within the clinic
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of two years of clinical occupational therapy experience
- Registration and good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
- Eligibility to practise occupational therapy independently in British Columbia
- Appropriate professional liability insurance
- Required criminal record or vulnerable-sector screening
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently within an independent contractor arrangement
- Experience working with children and families
Preferred:
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience supporting sensory processing and regulation
- Experience working with neurodivergent children
- Experience providing parent or caregiver coaching
- Experience collaborating with schools, daycares, or community providers
- Relevant paediatric continuing education
- Experience in private practice, community care, mental health, developmental services, or school-based practice
