This position’s primary role is to develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, and local reports. The Tax Manager ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns, assesses tax implications surrounding pending mergers and acquisitions, recommends ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations, may administer international tax laws and regulations and selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

The Job
- Perform detailed technical reviews to ensure accuracy
- Reparation and review of US federal and state corporate income tax returns
- Advise on relevant US cross border issues
- Oversee and maintain corporate transfer pricing policies and update with new business activities as appropriate
- Communicate with CRA, Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities and address any open issues with persuasive and self-assured responses
- Manage the preparation and timely filing of certain US and foreign tax compliance
- Prepare and timely file Canada corporate tax filings
- Prepare and manage foreign tax audits with external service provider support
- Manage tax implications of long term incentive plans and ensure compliance globally
- Manage statutory audits globally to ensure filed timely and accurately
- Monitor and analyze legislative updates globally
- Corporate structure maintenance
- Prepare and maintain internal controls documentation
- Participate in special projects

- Post-secondary education in Business or Accounting
- CPA designation
- 3 years tax experience required
- 1 year of management experience required
