Name and description of the hiring department:
The FTTH Deployment department is accountable for planning and deploying Bell’s extensive fibre network serving millions of households and businesses as well as leading the Expertech team.

Job Duties / Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to do the following:

Design and create engineering specifications/plans/drawings and determine the appropriate equipment/installation needs
Analyze the job requirements and assess technical scope of job
Create, conduct and/or validate site survey/job design information
Provide support to internal and external groups
Modify various company databases and technical documents

Essential Qualifications / Competencies:
Knowledge of Network X
Ability to read and create Network plans
Intermediate MS Excel (updating/upgrading spreadsheets)
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, capacity to make decisions
Capacity to cope with various changes in procedures and priorities
Motivated self starter with a proven high capacity to learn
Precision in the execution of the job
Strong organization and work planning
Innovative and creative attitude to simplify resolutions research
Strong team focus and willing to take on new challenges
Knowledge in aerial/buried design concept
Knowledge of AUTOCAD

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:
Proficiency in Network Engineer NE
Knowledge of SAP P50
Knowledge of hydro distribution design concepts considered an asset
Intermediate MS Word & MS PowerPoint
Knowledge of the Access Network, Outside Plant Locations Records and Facilities/Assignment a definite asset
Ability to prioritize workload
Strong team player
Strong communication/facilitation skills
Ability to analyze, solve problems & make quality decisions with a strong customer focus
Strong planning and organizing skills
High tolerance to ambiguity and resistance to stress
Self motivated, ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a very fast paced, ever evolving job environment
Willing to take on new challenges and solve problems with minimal direction

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
