Job Description
The SEM Manager develops and optimizes paid search programs that help pharmaceutical and life sciences clients reach healthcare providers and patients. This role partners closely with Media Planning, Analytics, Web Development, and Client Services teams to deliver measurable business outcomes through search strategy, campaign execution, and ongoing optimization across major search and performance media platforms.
What You'll Do

Develop paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Google Display Network, and YouTube that align with client objectives and regulatory requirements.

Manage campaign budgets, pacing, bidding strategies, keyword portfolios, and ad copy while monitoring performance against established KPIs.

Analyze campaign performance data and audience behavior to identify optimization opportunities and present actionable recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

Collaborate with Media Planning, Analytics, and Web Development teams to improve campaign effectiveness, landing page performance, and measurement strategies.

Maintain campaign quality through platform best practices, testing, reporting, and continuous optimization using AI-enabled workflows where appropriate.
Qualifications
Required:

3–6 years managing paid search campaigns using Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising with responsibility for campaign setup, optimization, reporting, and budget management.

Experience using Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Advertising Editor, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets to manage campaigns and analyze performance data.

Experience conducting keyword research, writing paid search ad copy, and optimizing campaigns using performance metrics and business objectives.

Experience presenting campaign performance, optimization recommendations, and strategic insights to clients or cross-functional stakeholders.

Experience managing campaigns in healthcare, pharmaceutical, regulated industries, or other compliance-driven environments, or the ability to demonstrate transferable experience managing regulated advertising.
Desired:

Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.

Experience with Google Display Network, YouTube advertising, Performance Max, Demand Gen, or additional paid media platforms.

Experience working alongside analytics, media planning, web development, and creative teams on integrated marketing programs.

Knowledge of healthcare advertising regulations, privacy considerations, or pharmaceutical marketing practices.

Google Ads Certifications, Microsoft Advertising Certification, or other relevant digital marketing certifications.
Additional Information
This vacancy is for a backfill here at Klick Health. The base salary range for this position is between CAD $80,000 - $90,000. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate's work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior work experience.
