Castleview Care Centre, located in beautiful Castlegar, BC is now hiring a Maintenance Coordinator.
Duties: routine maintenance and minor repairs, including working with external contractors for the troubleshooting of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Other duties may also include minor repairs to plumbing, appliances, furniture, painting, drywall repair, and exterior building upkeep.
Preference will be given to candidates with 3 years of experience in a similar position or a combination of experience such as painting, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc. A clean criminal record check is a MUST to be considered for this position.
Position Requirements:
- Work cooperatively with management, staff, and other departments
- Physically fit to perform duties
- Minimum Grade 12
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations
- Courses in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical or electrical an asset but not required
Additional Skills:
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Able to identify and prioritize facility maintenance needs
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient with computers
- Good hygiene and grooming
- Clean Criminal Record check
