Job Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Duties:
- Site inspections
- Employee evaluations
- Shop/office inspections
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate safety training programs for employees on topics such as CPR, first aid, and emergency response
- Maintain records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and inspections
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and improve overall workplace safety culture
Experience:
- Proven experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations and standards
- Ability to generate reports on safety metrics and incidents
- Familiarity with Workers Compensation laws and procedures
- Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs
- Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques
Skills:
- OSHA compliance knowledge
- Strong report writing skills
- Understanding of Workers Compensation laws
