Job Summary
Starline Developments is seeking an experienced Site Foreman for a residential conversion project in St. Catharines. The project involves the conversion of an existing institutional building into approximately 80 residential units.
The successful candidate will assist with daily site operations, trade coordination, quality control, safety compliance, inspections, and project scheduling.
This is a hands-on position requiring a strong understanding of construction sequencing, renovation work, and coordination of multiple subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades on site.
- Monitor project progress and maintain construction schedules.
- Conduct daily site walks and identify deficiencies.
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed correctly.
- Facilitate municipal, ESA, plumbing, fire, and other inspections.
- Answer inspector questions regarding project progress and site conditions.
- Coordinate correction of deficiencies and re-inspections.
- Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and company policies.
- Maintain daily site reports, photographs, and documentation.
- Assist project management with scheduling, planning, and problem-solving.
- Ensure site cleanliness and organization are maintained.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
- Experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, Site Supervisor, or similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with renovation, institutional, commercial, or multi-residential projects.
- Experience coordinating electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection trades.
- Experience facilitating building, ESA, plumbing, and fire inspections.
- Working at Heights certification.
- First Aid certification.
Compensation
- $80,000 – $110,000 per year, based on experience.
- Full-time position.
