Job Description
The Fire Protection Service Sales Account Manager supports our existing service-based customers and attracts new commercial clients. We expect that you will build relationships with our existing customers and look after all of their service-related needs, while reaching out to prospective customers and generate new sales opportunities. The successful candidate will increase income and revenue by generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales opportunities of fire protection products and services.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Become an expert in your assigned vertical market
- Establish relationships with customers, prospects, and industry insiders
- Identify opportunities
- Develop win/pricing strategy based on market and customer knowledge
- Responsible for all levels of accounts
- Responsible for securing PMA deficiencies with profitability in mind
- Establish contact with purchasing influences as assigned or within the geographic territory
- Sell new service agreements on all company products and services.
- Maintain service contracts with existing customers.
- Investigate and document competitive activity and trends.
- Develop knowledge of product, codes and standards.
- Meet directly with customers to establish their needs, and to drive the overall sales process.
- Target new business opportunities using your industry contacts and expertise.
- Stay current with new technologies, new products offerings, business strategies and market conditions so as to support and enhance sales activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in the fire & life safety industry
- Relevant sales experience in the fire and life safety industry is an asset
- Knowledge of applicable fire codes and standards
- Knowledge of company products and services a must
- Self-starter with evidence of customer cold calling
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Advanced sales skills and ability to develop effective customer solutions
- Solid teamwork skills
- Shows initiative
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office, CRM
- Must be willing to travel for customer calls
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Substantial experience in a Sales/Account Management related field an asset
