Job Description – Project Manager/Estimator
MG Miscellaneous Metals Inc. is a custom metal fabrication shop located in Burlington, Ontario. Our shop consists of 10 employees with fabrication machines and equipment to serve our customers in the Ontario region. Our work includes, but is not limited to, Division 5 - Miscellaneous Metals: Railings, Stairs, Mezzanines, Structural Steel Beams & Columns, Lintels & Plates, etc. Project size ranges up to $750,000.00.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Maintain existing relationships with clients and create new client relationships.
· Read and interpret tender documents, blueprints and determine costs and methods of fabrication, size of material and equipment to be used.
· Create and send quotes to Clients for tenders.
· Track job progress and changes. Work with Detailers, Shop Manager, Shop Foreman, and Field Installers for the duration of the project.
· Adhere to related safety regulations including but not limited to Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act and the organization’s safety policies and procedures.
· Provide support to Engineering & Shop Departments as needed.
· Work within a team environment and work well independently.
Requirements:
· Full understanding of miscellaneous metals, welding processes and related operations.
· 5 years or more of relevant fieldwork experience.
· Strong expertise of the Bidding & Estimating process.
· Project Management skills.
· Bluebeam and Tekla software knowledge is an asset.
· Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project) software knowledge.
Working Environment: In person at office in Burlington.May be required to travel to job sites for site measurements within Ontario.
Schedule: Standard 40 hours per week. The hours are 7am to 3pm Monday-Friday.
Pay & Benefits: Salary depending on experience and to be negotiated. Benefits package and RRSP program after probation period completion. Future opportunities to work from home and/or work 4-day work weeks.

Pay: $1.00-$100,000.00 per year
