Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $70,073.00.00 - $87,591.00 (commensurate with experience)
Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and organizational performance.
Location: Hybrid role (weekly in-office work at one of our administration offices
(Strathroy or Sarnia)
Travel Requirement: This role requires periodic travel to branch locations within our service area. Candidates should be able to travel to these locations as needed and have access to reliable transportation. Where operational requirements necessitate the use of a personal vehicle, candidates must be able to meet those requirements.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Brand, the Marketing Specialist is a key member of the marketing team responsible for delivering on the execution of marketing initiatives, campaigns, and projects across the organization. The role works with internal team members, stakeholders, and external partners to move work through execution, ensuring deliverables are coordinated, complete, accurate, and ready for market. The Marketing Specialist connects work across channels and initiatives, applying sound judgment to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned throughout execution.

Marketing Initiative Execution: Deliver on the execution of marketing initiatives, campaigns, communications, and projects across digital, traditional, and in-branch channels. Ensure deliverables are complete, aligned, accurate, and ready for review and launch. Coordinate timelines, handoffs, and approvals, maintain visibility over assigned work, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and bring forward practical solutions as needed.

Stakeholder and Organizational Project Support: Act as a marketing point of contact for assigned organizational initiatives, product-related projects, and internal requests. Work with marketing team members, internal departments, and external partners to gather and clarify requirements, align timelines, coordinate next steps, and ensure marketing deliverables are practical, aligned, and executable.

Multi-Channel Marketing Support: Support execution across traditional and digital marketing channels, including in-branch, print, broadcast, web, email, and digital environments. Ensure materials are adapted appropriately for each channel and meet placement, timing, and production requirements.

Messaging and Content Development: Develop and refine member-facing communications, including web, email, in-branch, and traditional marketing materials. Ensure messaging is clear, relevant, brand-aligned, and appropriate for the channel and member interaction.

Quality, Improvement, and Team Contribution: Contribute to high-quality, well-executed marketing work by applying learnings from past initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve processes or communications and bringing forward practical recommendations and best practices to the team.

Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the marketing team and organizational priorities.

Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or a related field

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience within a marketing team, supporting and executing campaigns and ongoing marketing activities

Experience working across both traditional and digital marketing environments

Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to support clear, relevant marketing messaging

Strong understanding of marketing analytics and performance tracking, with the ability to use insights to support and improve marketing execution

Experience supporting website updates and managing content within a CMS, with an understanding of how content structure and user experience impact performance

Ability to take initiative, think critically, and work independently in day-to-day execution

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate timelines and approvals, and use workflow or project management tools to support marketing delivery.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with marketing tools such as email platforms, content management systems, or CRM tools

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar) is required to support basic design edits and updates; advanced design experience is not required

Video editing experience is considered an asset

Experience in financial services or a regulated industry is considered an asset
