Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive repair, and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues efficiently. The technician will perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles, utilizing a range of tools and schematics to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics to identify vehicle issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs accurately
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate precise repairs and part replacements
- Assist with vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move parts or equipment safely
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and adhere to safety protocols at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, preferably with dealership experience
- Valid certification as a Journeyman/woman Automotive Technician or equivalent qualification
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Prior experience working with maintenance schedules and adhering to safety standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
