We are seeking a compassionate and professional Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team.
Position Summary
The MOA provides essential clinical and administrative support for our cardiology consultation clinics. The ideal candidate demonstrates:

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Support
- Greet and assist patients and staff professionally (in person and by phone)
- Perform patient check‑in; verify information and ensure infection‑control standards
- Room patients and complete measurements (height, weight, waist circumference, ECG)
- Provide test instructions by phone and email
- Prepare charts, schedules, surveys, and clinical documentation
- Book diagnostic tests and follow-up appointments
- Track diagnostic reports and follow up with physicians or offices
Administrative & EMR Tasks
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and EMR
- Support referral triage processes
- Upload clinical documents to provincial systems
- Manage faxes, billing entries (Accuro), and daily schedules
- Support assigned physicians with scheduling, test tracking, communication, and billing
- Assist with QA tasks, reporting, and administrative projects
- Handle patient information per the Health Information Act
Team & Organizational Expectations
- Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled shifts
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff
- Participate in team meetings and collaborative problem solving
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
- Adapt to changing clinic needs and priorities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Strong EMR skills (Accuro experience an asset)
- Proficiency with O365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Current BCLS certification
- Strong communication and patient‑service skills
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Demonstrated reliability and attendance stability
- Ability to adapt to scheduling or workflow changes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a specialty medical practice (cardiology, internal medicine, diagnostics, etc.)
- Multilingual applicants encouraged: Cantonese, Mandarin, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu
