We have been in this business since 1954 so we like to think we are doing some things right but we also know that we need to continue to grow and evolve as our customers’ expectations grow too! So, we are looking to hire a new business sales person for our Personal Lines team in St. Thomas. This is a new role for us so the bar is set pretty high to get it right!

We get that not everyone loves to sell, but you do! That competitive drive that started in school or sports in your early years has served you well in the work world. You love seeing those leads coming through, calling the client and are not afraid to network and seek out referrals from current clients as you know the best compliment you can receive is a referral from a current client.

Your success will depend a lot on you – your passion for sales, your expert product knowledge, your ongoing commitment to find the optimal coverage solution, and building positive, lasting relationships with current customers and those who don’t know they are McConville Omni customers yet!

This role will be responsible for generating Personal Lines new sales revenue for the organization to contribute the overall growth strategy.

So, What Will You Spend Your Days Doing?

Follow up on leads in a timely manner using the appropriate sales tools.
Achievement of key sales goals/targets.
Track and document the appropriate actions, next steps, client information to provide full transparency throughout the sales cycle to facilitate reporting and decision making.
Take on the overflow of leads/referrals from the Customer Service Broker.
Source/prospect additional new business leads.
With a focus on quality, conduct a thorough risk assessment and provide recommendations for coverage based on clients needs.
Provide complete and accurate quotes using the appropriate quoting system.
Complete personal lines policy applications which includes obtaining the necessary reports, documentation and required signatures.
Ensure that the type of new business aligns with the company’s business strategy and carrier risk appetite.
Be a company brand ambassador, reflecting our promise at every point of customer contact.

Must be RIBO licenced with your licence in good standing at all times.
Minimum 1 year experience in Personal Lines sales and servicing.
Proven track record in a sales oriented role.
Is able to demonstrate reflective listening and empathy with outstanding customer relations skills.
Experience with broker management systems – TAM is an asset.
Able to handle multiple competing priorities and remain professional.
Must be able to keep up to minimal sales targets for the role.
