JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the VLT Site Manager, the Security Officer will be responsible for patrolling, monitoring and providing a safe environment for the employees and patrons.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patrol the entire site both inside and outside.
- Check ID for underage patrons entering the site.
- Deal with intoxicated, rude, insubordinate patrons.
- Pick up garbage inside and outside to maintain a clean site.
- Keep stocked all site vending machines.
- Wipe down all machines.
- Provide light maintenance to entire VLT site
- Assist in all large cash transfers to one area to another.
- Maintain the terminals of all cash nightly as well as sorting the cash.
- Make coffee and keep coffee area clean.
- Light housekeeping to site area including bathrooms. Keeping bathrooms stocked.
- Keep door and entrance free of snow & ice as well as all fire exits.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Desired qualification Grade 12 or Grade 12 GED
- Have a thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and rule governing the VLT site;
- Good Customer service skills.
- Have a good working knowledge in written and verbal communications.
- Have the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with fellow employees and public.
- Be physically able to perform the duties required of the position.
